About Us

The Book Factory operates from a lovely little toy and children's clothes shop called Sprogs in the heart of the Cotswolds. We really enjoy the whole concept of creating a personal gift for a child that will be treasured for many years and will also encourage reading. In this modern age of computers and TV, we feel strongly that it is still important for children to enjoy reading and also for parents to read to their children. Nothing can replace that bedtime story!

Over the years we have lost count of the number of books we have made for children, for all sorts of occasions; Birthdays, Christmas, Starting School, Christenings, or just for being extra good! The feedback that we get is lovely to read, and customers return time and again to buy more books.

We have discovered, through doing lots of events that our books particularly appeal to grandparents who are looking for that special gift, and also, that many of the parents we have met still have their own personalised books that they were given as a child!

Here at Sprogs we mainly focus on traditional, wooden and Fair Trade toys and clothes and our personalised books are no exception. They are appealing stories on lots of different themes, written in a simple traditional way.
