School Is Fun
“Today is going to be so much fun,” Thought John Edward Richards, aged four, of Winchcombe. “That's because today, I get to go to Winchcombe Abbey School.” Earlier that morning John had dressed quickly and rushed through his breakfast.
“Slow down, John,” Matthew, Mary and Jacob said laughingly. John seemed more excited now than he had ever been before.
When John arrived at Winchcombe Abbey School, he ran up the steps to catch up with the other children.
John ran to his very own locker. As he opened the locker, John thought he heard a rustling inside.
“Is there something inside my locker?” John wondered. “What could it be?”
Just then, Mrs Ford walked up and said, “You'd better hurry to class, John.”
John decided to close his locker and investigate the noise later.
